News Flash: We Are Actually Going to Use The Keywords You Choose on Your Site Content

We do very extensive keyword research for all of our SEO clients to help them drive the greatest volume of relevant and targeted traffic possible.  We always get the clients “buy in” and approval for those keyword choices.

Invariably, despite the approval of the keyword choices and the explanation of the actual process of how we are going to work on improving search engine rankings for those keywords, there comes a moment when we get some push back from some clients on making site content edits or on developing all new site content using those keywords.  At that point, the conversation usually starts all over again as to why the keywords chosen really are the best choice.

Frequently, this is the “make or break” point when you learn if your SEO client has drank the “keyword data Kool-aid” and bought into doing what it takes to get a top ten ranking on their selected keywords.  Common themes usually discussed at this point include: (more…)

Create Your Own Title … Tag

Wouldn’t it be great to walk into a business and create your own title? For example, a Starbuck’s employee wears the title Barista and some deli employees call themselves Sandwich Artists. Hmmm, I like the ring of that; perhaps I’ll quit my Account Manager position and become a Director of First Impressions. (Just kidding Janet).

Not many businesses will allow you to waltz in and create your own title, but Google will! What do I mean? In the natural or organic listings of the Google SERP (search engine results page) you can decide what your company’s Headline or Title is by simply editing the title tag of your site’s HTML code! Create Awareness: Engage in a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Campaign Today!

In April, an informational site reached out to the team at Search Mojo because they wanted to generate greater awareness by driving more traffic to their site. After engaging in a search engine optimization (SEO) campaign for just 30 days they saw organic (non-paid) traffic to their site increase by 957.88%!!! I’m not talking about a jump from 1 person to 958 people either; I’m talking about hundreds of people turning into thousands of people to their site in just 30 days! How did a search engine optimization (SEO) campaign result in such a dramatic increase in traffic?

To answer that question we’ll first need to define search engine optimization (SEO). Search engine optimization, often referred to as SEO, is a process of altering a website in order to gain higher natural or organic rankings within search engines- like Google, MSN / Bing, and Yahoo!- for keywords relating to the information or products offered on the website. The higher a website’s ranking is, the more visibility it gets, and therefore the more traffic it should receive.
