Video Search Optimization

<< by Sarah Lokitis on January 26th, 2012

At Search Mojo, we recently made a video about the Search Mojo Corporate Culture. When our Marketing Director, Cady, was uploading the video, it got me thinking about where videos should be uploaded, along with strategies for excellent keyword tagging. Google Search Plus Your World Needs a Quality Rater

<< by Tad Miller on January 25th, 2012

100903HappyDays1 Google Search Plus Your World Needs a Quality RaterJanuary 10, 2012 will go down in history as the day that Google “Jumped the Shark”.  In introducing it’s new “Search Plus Your World” search results it ignored the very thing that made them the world’s best search engine – RELEVANCE.  Personalized results are now integrated into the new “Search Plus My World” results into Google Search Results as the default results.

Google Indexes AJAX and Javascript Comments

<< by Sarah Lokitis on January 4th, 2012

Just Released: Google+ Pages

<< by Sarah Lokitis on November 8th, 2011

Hot off the press! Google+ Pages are launching worldwide! Previously only individuals could use Google+, but now any business, organization, brand, or place can create a Google+ Page. Google is switching from just “connecting people…” to building “relationships with all the things you care about.”

Creating your Page

Using the Create A Page tool, Google+ Pages can be created as they are released over the next two days. Once you start creating your page, you have the option to categorize yourself as one of the following:

  • Local Business or Place (Note: Place Pages are still separate entities and must be managed separately.)
  • Product or Brand
  • Company, Institution or Organization
  • Arts, Entertainment or Sports
  • Other

Google+ now will be a place to connect your brand or business to your customers. Businesses can be added to circles and +1′ed. Hangouts and sharing can actively take place between your company and the people who are passionate about your brand. Strategize and experiment with Google+ to find out how it will work best for you.
