Vote for Your Favorite Search Mojo Halloween Costume
<< by on October 31st, 2012
Despite all the bad stuff happening this week with Hurricane Sandy (the Search Mojo Charlottesville office was closed down Monday and Tuesday, but thankfully we made it through unscathed), we’re determined to have a happy Halloween – and if you’re affected by Sandy, we hope we can make your Halloween a little happier, too!
The Search Mojo staff has dressed up in their most creative search/social media-related Halloween costumes (and they’ve really outdone themselves this year!). Vote for your favorite costume on Facebook until 2:00pm today. Here’s a review of all the entries:
Janet Driscoll Miller – Google Authorship Rich Snippet

Kari Rippetoe – Android Jellybean Update

Lindsay Keller – 100% Bounce Rate

Sarah Lokitis & Michelle Doty - Instagram + (Hashtags: #Winning #FAIL) + faceBOOK + Social Media Icons = Social (MEDIA) Butterflies

Scott Garrett – Keyword Not Provided
Explanation: Google Analytics no longer passes keyword referrer information from logged-in users. This means that companies like Search Mojo who use Google Analytics will no longer have access to the keywords that searchers used to reach their site, provided that searcher was logged into a Google account. So, Scott put a box over his head because you don’t know who he is/what keyword he used to land on your site.

Casey Davenport – Diehard Bing Fan/Nerd

Amanda Chaney & Nelson Hudspeth – White Hat/Black Hat SEO

Ariele McWhinney – Maru the Box-Loving Cat

Video of the actual Maru, so you have a frame of reference:
